GBAC STAR™ Facility Accreditation

Halekulani Okinawa has achieved the GBAC STAR™ Facility Accreditation, a designation awarded to facilities that demonstrate a thorough implementation of the most stringent cleaning, disinfection and infectious disease prevention protocols. The Global Biorisk Advisory Council™ (GBAC) is a division of International Sanitary Supply Association (ISSA), the worldwide cleaning industry association.

  • Please refrain from visiting the hotel if you have a fever or are not feeling well.
  • As an added safety precaution, we conduct temperature checks for each guest with a non-contact thermometer upon arrival. For guests who record a body temperature of 37.5℃(99.5℉), we ask that you please refrain from entering the premises.
  • When entering the hotel, the restaurants or the spa, please sanitize your hands using the various disinfectant stations located throughout the property.
  • Please keep a distance of 1 meters (3 feet) from those around you.
  • Please contact hotel staff if you feel ill or experience any changes in your physical condition during your visit.

  • Constant ventilation protocols are enforced, as are regular cleanings and disinfections of surfaces, equipment, and high-traffic common areas throughout the hotel.
  • Hand sanitizer and disinfectant stations are located throughout the hotel.
  • Hotel staff are required to wear masks and thoroughly wash and disinfect their hands and fingers on a regular basis.
    *Masks are optional for our staff at valet service, guest service and pool and beach areas.

About Your Stay & Accommodations

  • Guests are provided a personal bottle of disinfectant spray upon check-in for individuals to use at their discretion.
  • The front desk and all equipment utilized during the check-in process are thoroughly disinfected on a regular basis.
  • Staff entry to guest rooms is limited as much as possible when guests are in the rooms.
  • Enhanced guest room cleaning during your stay is available upon request.
  • All magazines in the room have been removed.

About the Restaurants and Spa

  • Guests will be asked to complete a temperature check using a non-contact thermometer when entering a restaurant or the spa.
  • Guests who record a body temperature of 37.5℃(99.5℉) will be asked to refrain from entering the premises.
  • All dining venues are thoroughly disinfected and sanitized regularly, as are all spaces throughout the spa, including treatment rooms.
